Family Tech Tip: Starting the Conversation about Online Use
Published on November 30, 2018
Bloomington Public Schools provides each student in grades 3-12 with a personal Chromebook device, so learning opportunities can extend beyond the school day when students bring their devices home.
To support appropriate use in school and at home, BPS has adopted an Internet Acceptable Use and Safety policy, and we encourage families to support appropriate internet use. One way to start the conversation is to regularly review the websites your student is visiting on their Chromebook.
View the browser history with the following three questions in mind:
- What is your student doing online?
- When are they spending time online?
- How much time are they spending online?
